COMEBACK single Not The Only Person is without question one of the best releases I've hard all year.
Backed by huge orchestration, the song's summery vibes mask some of Charlie Waller's finest lyrics to date.
Echoing the sweeping arrangements of a Phil Spector or Scott Walker track, it's also got one of the best chorus lines around at the moment. "You're not the only person to get it wrong." How prophetic and poignant.
You can also clearly hear Owen Pallet's influence from The Last Shadow Puppets, and when refined by Mark Ronson's incredible production work, this is just a little taster of a fantastic album in waiting when Welcome To The Walk Alone – the follow-up to 2007 debut Girls And Weather – is released on July 13.
