Singalong at Abbey

RAISING the roof with festive tunes will be performers at Selby Abbey this weekend.

A Basket of Carols for Christmas concert and singalong takes place for the fourth time on Saturday December 1 from 7.30pm.

Taking part will be the Northern Comfort Barbershop Singers performing a range of American carols, plus a special performance by acclaimed soprano Krisha Harman (pictured) who will bring some beautiful solo carols.

The Selebian Singers will also entertain the audience with a selection of 16th century carols.

A spokesman said: “After repairing the roof after last year’s concert, sweet voices will raise the roof again at Selby Abbey. A Basket of Carols for Christmas is more than a concert, it is also a singalong, in total eight carols will be sung with audience participation.”

Doors open at 6.45pm and admission is £6 for adults and £3 for children, tickets are available in the Abbey Shop or on the door.
