The cast of Riccall Pantomime, (L-R) Neil Swain as Panto Dame Ammonia Goodbody, Liz Smith as Queen Semolina, John Cattley as King Cedric VII and Mackenzie Compton as the Prince. Sleeping Beauty (front) is Sally Corbally.

THIS year Riccallish Allsorts present their annual family pantomime ‘Sleeping Beauty’ by Norman Robbins on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 7-9, at Riccall Regen.

The shows starts at 7.30pm in the evenings and there is a Saturday matinee from 2.30pm.

Producer Ken Davison told the Selby Times: “This panto is a breath of fresh air – each year around May we start reading loads of scripts before we choose, and this one stood out for being fresh, with new routines and jokes.

“It’s quite pacey, not too long, which given the story lasts for 100 years, is quite an achievement.”

He added: “This is our thirteenth annual pantomime and this year it really is going to be bigger and better than ever. We have a new set of curtains, which look really smart, and we’ve also invested in our stage, so it’s wider. As a result, we’ve been able to include more chorus members. Village Pantomimes are all about getting as many people involved as possible, and this year we have over 30 in the cast.”

Tickets are £6 and £3 (concessions), available from Riccall Regen 01757 248849.
