CHEEKY chaps The View have good reason to celebrate their continuing success.

The four-piece put the finishing touches to a great year, which saw them return with top ten album Cheeky For A Reason, with winter tour that culminates in December 19 Dundee Caird Hall show.

But not until they join The Courteeners at December 7 Manchester MEN Arena show and play to Glasgow Borrowland homeland sell-out crowds on December 17 and 18.

London’s iconic Electric Ballroom numbers among previous venues on excellent 11-date tour.

That, in turn, followed a mainland European leg and UK and Ireland dates that featured Leeds and Reading Festivals and BT London Live in Hyde Park.

Produced by Mike Crossley (Arctic Monkeys and Foals) Cheeky For A Reason neatly encapsulates the band’s mission statement of creating an album akin to “Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rumours’ done by The Clash.”

The album is the group’s fourth after Mercury-nominated number one debut Hats Off To The Buskers, top ten follow-up Which Bitch and 2011’s Bread & Circuses.

Representing their most freely eclectic work to date, the album flows from Celtic-influenced melodic rush of How Long, through pounding punk of AB (We Need Treatment) to 70s-styled hybrid of piano pop and rich vocal harmonies that define closing track Tacky Tattoo.

The View, The View, The View, truly are on fire!
