The Prelude: Moving To The Country – Never Coming Back

FOR a brief moment, I almost thought I'd stumbled upon a re-release of rare Pogue recordings before they were famous! So raw, amusing and impassioned is the new Prelude album the favourable comparison can easily be forgiven.

What perhaps sets them apart from their more illustrious countrymen is the sheer enthusiasm and shameless high spirits they inject into their music. And the song-writing is pretty damn impressive too.

The Derry six-piece have a superb ear for a great lyric, at times able to break your heart, at others quick to make you smile and join in with the infectious storytelling rhythm they generate.

Oozing real-life charm and character, this is an album to have you rocking in the aisles and dancing the night away.

The Prelude are the heroes of the everyman, and this superbly crafted album will capture you in the sound of their unified Irish jamboree.

Release Date: June 30
