A WOMAN who has lost her beloved pet dog while visiting Gowdall from her Somerset home, is appealing for help in finding her.

Jackie Highland was visiting her daughter Sharon Robinson, with four-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback Coco, on the weekend of March 9 to 11 when she escaped from the yard.

“She hasn’t been seen since,” a distraught Jackie told the Courier.

“It’s the not knowing what has happened to her that is driving me mad. I just want to know if she is alive or dead and, if she is alive, that she is being treated well.”

Jackie, who has already informed local vets and the dog warden, says there have been no sightings of Coco.

“She will be totally lost as she doesn’t know the area at all.

“But I advise anyone who may come across her not to approach her as she may nip in fear. She is a timid dog. Instead, I ask them to contact the East Riding dog warden.” He can be reached on 01482 396301 during normal office hours, or 01482 887700 at other times.
