I WOULD like to give my whole-hearted thanks to everyone who offered their support to our staff throughout the recent snowy and incredibly difficult weather conditions.
The kind offers of assistance from all parts of the community really did make all the difference, and enabled North Yorkshire and York Community and Mental Health Services to maintain its service provision for patients and their families. Disruption was kept to a minimum and no services had to be stopped.

We received many generous offers for the use of 4X4 vehicles, and one of our district nurses even got a lift to a patient on the back of a local farmer's tractor.

My thanks also go to all our community and mental health staff who worked tirelessly to enable us to carry on providing our patients with the care and support they need.

Janet Probert

North Yorkshire and York Community and Mental Health Services managing director
