GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
Called in here on a sentimental journey back to Yorkshire with my family to see where I grew up 45 years ago. After 2 rude encounters with shop staff at take away food outlets on the street, the staff here at Clarks made us so welcome. My daughter purchased a pair of trainers for her son and was pleased with the sale price. The staff were friendly / helpful / interested in us and our journey and were a shining example of what customer service should be like!!

Clark’s shoe shop is situated on Gowthrope, the main street through the town. Although there is not a car park you can park in the parking area behind the store at 40p an hour. Clark’s is not a very large store but surprisingly enough finds room to stock a good selection of ladies, men’s and children’s shoes, slippers, bags and cleaning products. Being Clark’s you know the shoes are well made and the returns service if required is good. At the bottom of the store is the children’s area where you can get your Little ones feet measured. There are also a few very clean toys to entertain them too. I buy most of the children’s shoes here as it not as busy as the bigger branches and even if a style is not in stock they can be ordered in within a couple of days. The staff are friendly and helpful.
