Just returned from a weekend stay in the chalet and had a great time, the staff are all friendly, the food and drinks were beautiful and all of the other guests and golfers / fishermen were polite and welcoming.  My two small boys had a brilliant time on the driving range and in the pottery shop and loved the restaurant and bar.  The Sunday dinner was fab and so we're the girls who had cooked and served it, it's worth a visit just for the chip's according to my eldest son!  We are looking forward to our next visit and actually learning to play golf.

Visited Scalm Park with my young family on 12/05/12.  I was apprehensive after reading the reviews on this site however, having experienced the warm family atmosphere, helpful, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings for myself felt compelled to write my own review!  The showers are beautifully appointed (and are in fact wet rooms) with space to easily shower my 5 and nearly 2 year old children.  Not only that the site is within easy walking distance of beautiful woodland walks, has it's own 18 hole golf course and serves fantastic home-cooked food all day. We will definately be back!

Found this site the WORST we have visited, as you approach your pitch, you are greeted with the look of a caravan GRAVEYARD. 1 toilet disposal unit & this is just surrounded by a wooden fence, showers abismal, no real ameineties at all. DEFINATELY ONE TO AVOID, & do not recommend. you can even get pestered by the resident dog who, has no worries in cocking his leg on your awning & goes for other dogs on site(if you take one). Only good thing was having a fish nearby, this site does not even deserve a full star but, cant leave a blank score. date of visit 06/sept/11, had enough & left early. NEVER TO RETURN.

Recently visited the caravan park, beautiful field surrounded by woodland, plenty for all the family to do, fishing, golf, paining ceramics for the kids, friendly staff, nice bar with patio which was a nice place to sit when it was sunny, would recommend.
