HEAVY rain failed to dampen the spirits of visitors to Cliffe Primary School's annual fun day and 300th birthday celebrations.
The well-attended event featured a host of attractions, including a mini concert by pupils, a performance by The Barlby Foot-Tappers, stalls run by the children, go-carts, a bucking bronco, swing boats, pony rides and a fire engine.

Headteacher Mike Sibley said: "There were lots of lovely things to do, and I think everyone had a good time despite the rain.

"Hearing Dogs for Deaf People came along with one of their dogs, and the fire engine proved very popular.

"Line dancers from the village came to do a demonstration and just kept going on and on despite the rain."
