MORE than 200 visitors joined in the fun on Sunday to make the annual Father's Day fair in Bubwith a real extravaganza.
The parish council-funded event had a 1940s theme, and some visitors dressed appropriately for the day.

Co-organiser Charlotte Atkinson described the event as "fantastic", and thanked all contributors and those who came along.

She said: "What a great day. Carol Hall ran a great best dad contest, won by Mike Thorne, and she ended up in the stocks (below) for her efforts!

"Everyone did a great job, including Doug Dear who brought along a USA army truck and Halifax Bomber engine, and Ian Peach who brought it to and from the event.

"There was even a fly-past by the RAF from Breighton Airfield.

"In addition to the usual stalls, there was also a Taekwondo demonstration. Everyone had a great time." (Bubwith 02 AM)
