A CHARITY ball organised in memory of a Monk Fryston woman who died from meningitis has raised more than £4,700.
Juvina Lee's latest fund-raising event in honour of mum Christine – a charity auction and ball at Milford Hotel – was a huge success, collecting more than £2,000 for each of her nominated charities the Meningitis Research Foundation and Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Juvina, 28, of Pinfold Lane in Carlton, said: "It was a fantastic evening. I'm still overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of my guests and want to say thank you to every single person who supported our event and charities."

Funds raised from the black tie event top the £30,000 already raised through sponsored walks and two previous charity balls, and will this year also support a cancer charity after Juvina's partner Chris Janik lost his grandad to the disease.
