WHEN you've got a family to feed, you need the sort of restaurant geared at ensuring everyone has a great time.
And that's exactly what the Wishing Well in Selby excels at.
From the moment we stepped through the doors of the outstanding new hotel and restaurant off the Selby Bypass, we were impressed by the superb facilities on offer and the very friendly welcome.
With plenty of tables to choose from, including several outside to soak up the sun on those beautiful English summer days, we were seated in seconds and already pouring over the impressive selections on the menu.
In addition to the handy kids meal choices, we were gobsmacked by the sheer variety of dishes available for adults too. There's everything from traditional steak and ale pies to more foreign influences.
Starters were imaginative and well priced, while the desserts were just calling out to be indulged!
And there were no worries about keeping the children amused between courses as the fabulous indoor play area is a veritable Aladdin's cave of adventure and fun. It's extremely secure and safe ... and you can even buy a pair of socks for the youngsters to keep their feet clean if they've arrived wearing sandles. Just £1 a pair – a real bargain!
Service was exemplary throughout the meal, but you never felt pressured or rushed into leaving. The children had hours of fun in the play area before we finally called it a day, fully refreshed and still buzzing from the excellent time we'd all had. The Wishing Well is literally all you could wish for to have a great family day out.
