THIS Saturday, Pollington History Group will host its latest open day in the village hall, Main Street, Pollington, 10am-2pm.

There will be an exhibition of the latest finds, a visual presentation of village pictures and help for those researching their family history in the area. Entrance is free and refreshments will be available.

* A brass band concert of Christmas music and carols will be given by the Just Brass Ensemble at Carlton Methodist Church on Saturday December 8, 2-4pm. Tickets are £4, including refreshments. Transport available on 01405 861761.
